Poetry of the Harp (2024)

The concert Poetry of the Harp offered a unique collaboration between violinist Ludmila Pavlová and harpist Ivana Švestková, who together created a harmonious musical experience. The event took place on August 18, 2024, in the courtyard of Pecka Castle as part of the Podkrkonoší Music Summer Festival.

The program featured works by Gaetano Donizetti (Sonata for Violin and Harp), Bernard Andrés (Algues), Jan Frank Fišer (Four Etudes for Solo Harp – selected pieces), Camille Saint-Saëns (Fantasy for Violin and Harp), Witold Lutosławski (Three Fragments), Valerij Kikta (Sonata for Violin and Harp “Metamorphoses”), and the premiere of a piece by Kateřina Horká written specifically for the festival. The concert concluded with the dynamic piece Baroque Flamenco by Deborah Henson Conant.

The lighting design by Martin Krupa subtly complemented the atmosphere of the concert, enhancing the emotional moments of the individual pieces and contributing to the overall visual impression of the evening.
